Customer Reviews:

3 out of 5 stars Does not grip us   January 2, 2009
We love books like this. In fact, we keep I Spy books in the bathrooms and the car. I have an "I Spy" date with the preschooler every Wednesday after we drop off at school. So I'm familiar with how my family reacts to this genre.

This book should have been a winner -- all these scenes and a little learning on the side... I figured it would be a hit. But it just doesn't grab us, and instead I recommend the I Spy or Can You See What I See books, with photography by Walter Wick. Happy looking!

4 out of 5 stars Looks like fun   December 27, 2008
We just gave this to our three year old for Christmas. I think he will have lots of fun with it. Great compilation of the four different books at a great price. Definitely pleased with the purchase.

This is a super book for a child age 3 and up. It keeps them busy and learning for quite a while. It includes the 1001 Animals to Spot, 1001 Things to Spot on the Farm, 1001 Things to Spot in the Town, and the 1001 Things to Spot Long Ago. They learn names of different animals and things and there are a lot of things that you can talk to them about in this book. It's beautifully illustrated, colorful, easy to do. They also learn numbers and counting and colors and shapes and differences. A must have for fun learning.

I bought this book for my 3 1/2 year old before going to the beach. It was perfect for the long car trip. My daughter continues to love this book weeks after buying it. I highly recommend purchasing this product!

4 out of 5 stars Compilation of other titles - Animals, Farm, Town, Long Ago   November 21, 2006

This book is a combined-in-one-volume edition of 4 shorter books: 1001 Animals to Spot, 1001 Things to Spot on the Farm, 1001 Things to Spot in the Town, and 1001 Things to Spot Long Ago. It's a great price if want a thicker book to keep kids busy on a trip, and IF you don't already have any of the above books separately. Since there's no description of this book on Amazon's product page, I bought this not realizing what it contained. I had been hoping for new material. We already have two of the stand-alone books included in this one. That's ok, we'll use it as gift. Hope this helps you avoid the same trial-and-error process I went through!
